About the Role
Job Summary
Marriott International is seeking a skilled Guest Experience Expert to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring that our guests feel valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm and sincere greetings to guests, engaging them in conversation about their stay, property services, and local attractions.
- Process guest check-ins, confirming reservations, issuing and activating room keys, and coordinating with Housekeeping to track room readiness.
- Process guest check-outs, including express check-outs, resolving late and disputed charges, settling accounts, retrieving room keys, and requesting guest feedback.
- Process various payment types, such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
- Operate the telephone switchboard, answering calls, monitoring busy or unanswered lines, and responding to guest requests and concerns.
- Supply guests with directions and information about property amenities, services, and hours of operation, as well as local areas of interest and activities.
- Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services, such as transportation, reservations, or dry cleaning, by making arrangements or identifying suitable providers.
- Monitor the club lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests, and maintain cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools.
- Prepare and serve hot, cold, and/or alcoholic beverages, stock ice, glassware, and supplies, and wash dishes and serving utensils as needed.
- Complete opening and closing duties, requisition necessary supplies, and secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Document pertinent information in the department logbook and forecast additional meal requirements, communicating special requests to the kitchen.
Requirements
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification from a nationally accredited training provider.
- I'm Alert Food Safety Certification from the City of Perth.
- Experience working in a customer service role is preferred.
- Passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Unrestricted working rights for Australia.
