Job Description

As the Manufacturing Quality Specialist at Ballantyne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our production facilities.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust quality assurance processes that drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

This full-time position requires an experienced quality professional to make a significant impact within our organisation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of quality control activities across all manufacturing operations, including inspections, testing, and processing CCP's
  • Development and maintenance of quality systems that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements providing assurance of continual quality improvements
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions to address issues and opportunities
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality-related challenges
  • Support, training, and guidance to manufacturing staff on quality processes, hygiene, and SOP's
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices, and ensuring the organisation's compliance
  • Continuous seeking of opportunities to improve manufacturing processes with respect to Quality Systems/HACCP/GMPPreparation of detailed quality reports for management and key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Food Science/Technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality management role, preferably in the Food Industry
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and techniques, relating to Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and GFSI standards
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, DFSV, FSSC, Halal
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use quality management software
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards
