Track and Civil Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled track and civil engineer to provide technical advice and support for railway track and civil engineering matters.

The successful candidate will contribute to the review of designs, investigations into root causes of incidents, and provision of input into short and long term renewals and maintenance plans.

  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance, projects, design and asset management functions within the business.
  • Participate in the review of designs for track and civil infrastructure from internal and external parties.
  • Lead technical investigations into root causes of incidents where track or civil infrastructure is suspected to be at fault.
  • Develop and maintain standards, manuals, specifications, technical notes and waivers within their discipline area.
  • Support the analysis of Welded Track Stability annually by maintaining and supporting a WTSA Analysis system.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of practice in track, permanent way or rail geotechnical roles, ideally including a mixture of project delivery, maintenance, design and asset management.
