Job Title: Agricultural Sustainability Specialist

Job Description:

As an Agricultural Sustainability Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice to clients on sustainable agricultural practices and landscaping solutions. Your expertise will help our clients achieve their environmental goals while ensuring the highest quality of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct soil testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement, recommending measures to optimize soil health and fertility.
  2. Inspect landscaping and agricultural works at all stages, preparing progress reports and inspecting materials for compliance with sustainability standards.
  3. Collaborate with councils, environmental bodies, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  4. Prepare schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimates for landscaping phases, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  5. Review and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to meet sustainability standards, promoting eco-friendly practices throughout the supply chain.
  6. Inspect delivered materials (plants, soil, fertilizers, irrigation equipment) for compliance and quality, verifying that they meet the required standards.
  7. Utilize project management software to manage documentation and reporting, streamlining communication and collaboration among team members.
  8. Prepare variation order reports for changes impacting project costs or timelines, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.
  9. Control logistics and waste management during construction phases, minimizing environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices.
  10. Stay updated with new technologies and sustainable innovations in landscaping and agriculture, applying this knowledge to enhance our services and maintain our reputation as leaders in sustainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Horticulture, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in agricultural consulting and/or landscaping management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving shared goals.
  • Strong knowledge of soil science, plant species suitable for WA climate, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping methods.
  • Familiarity with Australian agricultural, environmental, and landscaping regulations, including relevant laws and industry standards.
  • Ability to prepare landscape plans, technical reports, and feasibility studies, communicating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Competence in project management software (Buildertrend, SharePoint, or equivalent), with experience in utilizing technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Benefits:
