Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing tools to enhance collaboration and streamline backend/developer workflows, automate infrastructure provisioning and management using DevOps best practices.

  • Design and Implement Tools: Develop tools to enhance collaboration and streamline backend/developer workflows
  • Automate Infrastructure: Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using DevOps best practices
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with IT / Systems Engineering and Pipeline teams to integrate DevOps best practices
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with IT, Systems Engineering and Pipeline team members to facilitate solutions
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and address backend bottlenecks that impact productivity and efficiency of IT / Systems Engineering and Pipeline teams
  • Automation: Develop and maintain tools and practices to help troubleshoot, diagnose and visualise application, system and network problems
  • Task Automation: Automate repetitive tasks
  • Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines within the studio
  • Workflow Optimization: Optimize and automate continuous integration and deployment workflows
  • Automation Solutions: Implement automation solutions to support continuous delivery
  • Monitoring and Logging: Set up and maintain proactive monitoring logging and alerting systems, ensuring high uptime and troubleshooting production issues as they arise
  • Performance Tuning: Identify and address performance bottlenecks through stress testing and best practices
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response and provide support as required to ensure system availability
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment and infrastructure
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment, monitoring, and automation processes

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field

Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices

Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Azure Developer Associate

Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
