Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to support a high-volume email and invoice processing project. The ideal candidate will have experience with Power Automate and a strong understanding of document handling workflows, particularly involving SharePoint. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can build robust automation solutions while adhering to strict data privacy and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation workflows using
    Power Automate
    to:
  • Categorize and sort ~3,000 emails/day in a shared inbox.
  • Identify and extract invoice PDFs from emails.
  • Copy invoice PDFs to a designated
    SharePoint
    location.
  • Populate key metadata fields in SharePoint (e.g., vendor name, invoice number, date, amount).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure automation aligns with business rules and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and optimize automation performance, including error handling and logging.
  • Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with
    Microsoft Power Automate
    and SharePoint integrations.
  • Secondment into the CMI Scheme Intelligence team
  • Strong understanding of email parsing and document handling workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-volume data tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Secondary/Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with
    OCR and segmentation models
    and understanding of model outputs and uncertainties.
  • Experience working with
    AI/ML-based document classification
    (not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of
    data privacy and security standards
    ; must be able to work onshore as per compliance requirements.
