Junior Credit Analyst Job Description

The role of Junior Credit Analyst is to provide financial analysis support to the credit team, focusing on assessing commercial loan applications for e-commerce clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing commercial cash flow finance applications related to eCommerce clients for lending purposes.
  • Providing recommendations and commentaries to management to approve or decline loans.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure deal accuracy and successful progression towards approval.
  • Engaging with internal and external departments to address inquiries or concerns.
  • Following allocated processes and procedures, and suggesting improvements for efficiencies.
  • Performing additional finance-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or economics, with a flair for financial analysis.
  • Relevant experience in financial analysis, banking, risk management, or credit assessment, including internships or entry-level roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through academic, professional, or project work.
  • An understanding of financial markets, banking regulations, risk management practices, and industry-specific knowledge in commercial, corporate, or retail lending.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, financial modeling tools, and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is advantageous.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, organized self-starter passionate about stakeholder relationships and challenging the status quo.
