About the Role

Newmont Mining is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill this entry-level position in our Cadia Dewatering Facility in Blayney, New South Wales. As a Concentrator Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Final Product Department to operate in a safe and efficient manner, meeting production targets while maintaining equipment integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all safety incidents and hazards are reported, documented, and learned from.
  • Participate in shift handover meetings and provide quality information and direction to the incoming shift.
  • Complete all pre-start checks on mobile equipment/vehicles and other equipment requiring prestart checks.
  • Load copper concentrate into containers ready to be exported using a front-end loader and reach stacker or forklift.
  • Assist the shift fitter in performing maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with daily, weekly, and shutdown plans.
