Education Support Role

The Education Assistant role at our school is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the learning journey of students. Our vibrant and inclusive learning community is located in Ballajura, Western Australia.

This is a dynamic role that involves working under the direction of teaching staff to support student learning through a range of classroom activities and routines. You will assist with the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of learning materials and classroom resources, display a high level of initiative and attention to detail.

About the Role
  • This role requires you to work as part of a supportive classroom and whole-school team to deliver effective educational programs to students.
  • You will be expected to contribute to the care, wellbeing, and safety of students during class and break times.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated education assistants who can support mainstream classrooms across Kindergarten to Year 6. If you have a collaborative mindset, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and contribute, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support student learning through various classroom activities and routines.
  2. Assist with the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of learning materials and classroom resources.
  3. Display a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  4. Contribute to the care, wellbeing, and safety of students.
  5. Work collaboratively as part of a supportive classroom and whole-school team.
Requirements
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Please note that this pool will be used to fill Level 1 mainstream Education Assistant roles across our school, including whole-class support, small group assistance, and general duties in a busy and welcoming school setting.
