Centre Administration Officer Role

The Centre Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the administrative functions of two centres, one dedicated to joint biomechanics and the other to collaborative robotics in advanced manufacturing.

As a key member of the centre team, this officer assists the centre directors and managers with daily operations to ensure efficient delivery of centre visions and objectives.

Key responsibilities include providing high-quality support to centre participants, preparing documents and spreadsheets using intermediate software functions, assisting with event organisation and arrangements for special visitors, administering centre SharePoint sites, and maintaining communication channels.

  • Assisting with event planning and coordination.
  • Preparing and managing documents and records.
  • Maintaining centre websites and social media platforms.

This appointment is offered on a fixed-term, full-time basis for two years. The successful appointee will be required to perform additional duties as nominated by the centre, consistent with relevant classification descriptors.

They are encouraged to participate in job rotation or multiskilling in consultation with their supervisor.

Key qualifications and skills required for this position include:

  • Administrative experience in a similar role.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
