Lead Structural Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for managing teams undertaking structural engineering designs, inspections, investigations, and repair designs for various clients and client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Critical Project Delivery: Coordinate resources to execute work on time, budget, and quality.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor engineers and drafters.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the business.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and manage higher-level projects.
  • Client Engagement: Manage clients, including some business development functions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent Communication: Impeccable verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Structural Expertise: High-level technical ability in structural design in materials handling.
  • Bulk Materials Handling: Bulk materials handling experience (shiploaders, stacker/reclaimers AS4324).
  • FEA Modeling: FEA modeling experience (e.g., Strand7 and Space Gass).
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage engineering teams.
  • Client Development: Ability to develop new and foster existing client relationships.
  • Licensure: Hold RPEQ and/or CPEng.
