We're looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Perth team and take a leading role in delivering high-impact projects across the Mining & Resources sector.
You'll work closely with both our WA-based and national teams of specialists, contributing to a diverse portfolio of exciting and technically challenging projects.
As a design authority, you'll be responsible for the technical outcomes of your project portfolio—while also playing a key role in mentoring and developing the next generation of engineering talent.
In This Role, You Will Lead engineering design systems and processes across major projects.
Provide expert technical advice and mentoring to team members.
Sign off on technical outcomes and ensure design integrity.
Represent the business in high-level client meetings and provide technical solutions.
Drive design verification, audits, and process improvements.
Oversee device and material selection and procurement.
Identify team skill gaps and support professional development.
Collaborate with subcontractors and promote a strong safety culture.
Contribute to the delivery of large and complex projects.
Skills And Experience Proven experience in control systems engineering design, leadership, and commissioning within the Mining/Resources sector.
Strong technical leadership and people management skills.
Advanced knowledge of PLC (Rockwell) and SCADA (Citect).
Siemens, Schneider, GE PLC, or Ignition SCADA experience is also highly regarded.
Experience working with or supplying to major clients like BHP WAIO or FMG is highly regarded.
Excellent planning, communication, and analytical skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Key Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
Australian driver's licence.
Must be an Australian Citizen or have full working rights in Australia.
