Senior Culinary Professional Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at the Art Gallery of NSW.

This is a permanent, full-time role working with a leading hospitality group. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to curate premium culinary experiences for high-profile and exclusive events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently across all events.
  • Lead and run your assigned section efficiently during busy service.
  • Support the Executive and Sous Chefs in ensuring smooth event execution.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and quality.
  • Adapt menus in collaboration with senior chefs to reflect current Gallery exhibitions.
  • Actively participate in the setup and breakdown of events.
  • Step up to assist in kitchen leadership during senior chefs' absence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as CDP or equivalent in a high-volume, premium catering or fine dining environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Thrives under pressure and brings energy and enthusiasm to service.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and maintain consistency during high-volume events.
  • Valid Australian working rights (citizenship, residency or full working visa).
