Job Title: Project Cost Manager
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee quantity surveying duties before and after contracts, including cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, variations, final accounts, etc.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
  • Create detailed cost plans, including estimating and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification stages, producing tender lists, compiling preliminary documents, analyzing tenders, writing tender reports, and preparing contractual documents.
  • Lead cost checks and valuations for larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation at all times.
  • Prepare monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages.

Requirements:

  • A recognized degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is essential.
  • MRICS/AIQS accreditation is highly desirable.
  • Relevant work experience, ideally within a consultancy environment, is required.
  • Proficiency in using CostX is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills are necessary.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills, along with exceptional report and bid writing abilities, are crucial.
  • A high level of motivation and drive, combined with a passion for delivering results to clients, is essential.
