You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing architectural designs, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing.
This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop your skills in estimating, project management, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular home projects, including labor costs, materials, and equipment.
- Design Analysis: Analyze architectural designs and engineering drawings to produce accurate quantity take-offs and pricing.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with design, production, and project management teams to ensure estimates reflect modular construction methods and factory efficiencies.
- Procurement: Source and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Budgeting: Prepare budgets, tender submissions, and variation estimates.
- Cost Management: Monitor and update cost databases, identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and process optimization.
- Risk Assessment: Assess and manage risks related to modular building, including compliance with building codes and client specifications.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years estimating experience in the home building industry, preferably in modular construction.
- Skills: Proven time management and organizational skills, experience with advanced estimating software, and excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Personality: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
