Homelessness Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide essential social and accommodation support to individuals with complex needs in the community.

About the Role

You will deliver a client-centred approach, helping clients locate, obtain, and maintain accommodation through crisis intervention and ongoing support. You will work closely with clients to develop individualised case plans, support their social and living skills, and advocate for their rights and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement case plans within an established case management model.
  • Support clients' social and living skills development, promote informed choices, and foster independence.
  • Work closely with clients to address complex needs including homelessness determinants and effects.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and dignity.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in developing case plans.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social issues relevant to homelessness.
  • Ability to support clients with complex needs.
  • Certificate IV Community Services or equivalent and substantial experience in the field.
