
Lead Plumber

As a professional plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective repair and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipework systems, and related infrastructure across various Defence buildings and structures.
">- Carry out routine inspections to diagnose and repair plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
- Ensure all plumbing work adheres to current legislative and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework to prevent potential problems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency plumbing situations.
- Offer expert advice on material and equipment selection for plumbing repairs and installations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and apprentices in their development.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated with industry best practices.
To succeed in this role, you will require strong technical skills, including plumbing expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. A strong understanding of health and safety protocols is also essential.
