Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. This opportunity involves working varied shifts across a rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts.

As a Registered Nurse with Lifeblood, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the supply of blood products for life-changing outcomes. You will work closely with generous donors to deliver an exceptional service, while providing clinical oversight and guidance to other team members during the blood collection process.

Responsibilities include greeting and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate, as well as managing adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, setting up machines and collections equipment, and inserting and removing needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma.

  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
  • Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
  • Have your own vehicle and driver's licence
