Job Description

A credit analyst plays a crucial role in assessing residential and investment loans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment of individual, company, trust, construction, and SMSF loan applications
  • Reviewing and extracting information from documentation to confirm creditworthiness
  • Creating a Credit Approval Request Form outlining the processes taken to reach a decision and recommendations
  • Working closely with other analysts and team leaders to workshop applications
  • Managing credit risk and ensuring all credit policy and guidelines are maintained and applied to appropriate decisions
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A degree in a business-related field or previous experience in the banking/finance industry
  • Demonstrated experience in retail lending is advantageous
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies within data
