Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our thoroughbred broodmare operation in Victoria, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, and racehorses.

  • Manage the health and well-being of all horses under your care
  • Coordinate reproductive services with our veterinarian
  • Liaise with stud farms to secure breeding opportunities
  • Oversee the transportation of horses
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in farm management, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Foaling, pre- and post-partum care
  • Feeding, handling, and educating foals
  • Assisting with farrier services and general cleaning tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge of horse breeding and management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to supervise and collaborate with other staff members, trainers, and owners
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good health record
