Disability Support Worker

Centacare Adelaide metro is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality direct care services to our clients and supporting them in achieving their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support clients with daily living activities and personal care needs, either individually or as part of a team.
- Facilitate community access opportunities for clients, including social events and medical appointments.
- Maintain accurate documentation to monitor and report on client progress and health care.
- Implement educational, skill development, and social activity programs for clients.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing clients' Individual Support Plans to ensure personalized care.
- Provide person-centered support tailored to each client's goals and foster increased skill development and independence.
- Certificate III in Disability Services or Individual Support or acceptable alternative.
- A commitment to undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support within 6 months of starting, and to complete it within 2 years of employment.
- Valid (DHS) Working with children check (WWCC) - employers check.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
- Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - New Worker NDIS Induction Modules and Worker Orientation Module.
- Ability and availability to work outside of normal hours, including weekends, overnights and evenings.
- Must be willing to work extra shifts, as required.
- Willingness to transport clients either in a Centacare Vehicle or your own motor vehicle and comply with the Grey Fleet Vehicle Contract.
- Experience working with people with a disability and their families.
- Experience working in community-based human services.
