Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Compliance and Safety Specialist. This role will involve developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures on a national scale.

About the Role

This is a newly created permanent position responsible for shaping our company's safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling audits and investigating findings
  • Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and manuals
  • Reviewing work practices and ensuring compliance
  • Conducting regular Risk Assessments
  • Managing Fatigue, Mass & Maintenance Management Systems
  • Investigating workplace incidents and writing reports
  • Advising on non-conformance and managing training requirements
  • Couching employees on best practices
  • Compiling periodical reports and developing Toolbox Talks/Safety Alerts
  • Managing safety meetings and participating in senior management meetings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Prior experience and sound knowledge of Safety & Compliance and WHS
  • Knowledge of HVNL, COR, WHSMS
  • Ability to develop strategies for compliance and safety performance analysis
  • Drive a culture of caring about teams and customers
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and customer requirements reduces risks and minimises workplace injuries
  • Experience in Change & People Management is ideal
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify areas of development and take action to introduce processes
