Personal Support Assistant

The job entails providing personal care such as grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, bladder and bowel management, and basic wound care. You will also support clients with domestic tasks like meal preparation, light household chores, and laundry, as well as facilitate community access, including driving clients to appointments and social events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists as needed
  • Providing personal care services, including grooming, bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, and bladder and bowel management
  • Performing basic wound care and assisting with self-medication
  • Supporting with domestic tasks, such as meal preparation, light household chores, and laundry
  • Facilitating community access, including driving clients to appointments and social events

For this role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Smartphone device
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain
  • Completion or willingness to complete the NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times
