Strategic Procurement Leader

This critical role spearheads procurement initiatives and team leadership & development in a dynamic work environment.

About Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Demonstrate exceptional safety practices, behavior, commitment, and attitude.
  • Team Performance Enhancement: Participate in the development and implementation of functional team key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead process re-engineering and standard operating procedure (SOP) implementation within the department.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor, guide, and support the Procurement Team in their daily activities and professional development.
  • Purchase Order Verification: Verify and validate purchase orders in line with the business delegation of authority matrix.
  • Supplier Management: Lead supplier order management, including expediting/rescheduling, tracking delivery in full on time (DIFOT) performance, and conducting supplier audits.
About Your Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you have a background in procurement leadership, excellent team management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing KPIs.
  • Experience with driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to re-engineer processes and implement SOPs.
  • Strong skills in verifying and validating purchase orders.
  • Proficient in supplier management, including expediting/rescheduling, managing DIFOT performance, and conducting audits.
Requirements & Certifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS or equivalent).
