Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Retail Claims Professional to join our team in a leadership role. This is a transformational opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

About the Role

This position will lead and support case managers who assess long-term claims, ensuring that all processes are followed and quality standards are met. The successful candidate will have strong policy interpretation skills, a solid understanding of LICOP, and a broad knowledge of medical, financial, legal, product, and regulatory aspects of life insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support case managers who assess long-term Death and Terminal Illness claims.
  • Own a small portfolio of complex claims across Income Protection, Death and Terminal Illness.
  • Be the team's go-to expert on claims philosophy and best practices.
  • Ensure claims processes are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Help improve how we work by reviewing procedures and contributing to key projects.

Requirements

  • Solid end-to-end experience in retail life claims with strong policy interpretation.
  • Strong understanding of LICOP (Life Insurance Code of Practice).
  • Broad knowledge of medical, financial, legal, product, and regulatory aspects of life insurance.
  • Clear grasp of the legal framework for insurance contracts and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lift team capability.
  • Certificate IV in Life Insurance (preferred).
