Join Our Culinary Team as a Commis Chef

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team at Sofitel. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to take their career to the next level and work with our expert chefs in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

About the Role:

  • As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Chefs in menu preparation and ensuring that all service and brand standards are met while on shift.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, adhering to HACCP regulations.
  • Your exceptional communication skills and ability to work under pressure will make you an asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a passion for gastronomy and deliver exceptional service to our guests.
  • Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard, meeting the expectations of our discerning clientele.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assist other departments as needed, promoting teamwork and collaboration within the hotel.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Commercial Cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits and Salary:

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of AU$60,000 - AU$70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
