Family Support Program Specialist

Key Responsibilities

The Family Support Program Specialist will oversee the management of a specialist service providing high-quality support to vulnerable families and children at risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the program to deliver excellent outcomes for high-risk families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on family support services.
  • Mentoring and supervising team members to ensure high standards of practice.
Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Extensive clinical experience, including experience as a Level 2 Social Worker or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable families and children at risk from a trauma-informed approach.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
