Mental Health Family Support Role

A Family Support Practitioner role is available in a dynamic team that focuses on supporting families and carers of individuals with mental health challenges. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the impact of mental health on family members and carers, and be able to provide empathetic support and guidance.
">- Support Families & Carers
The selected candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and its effects on family dynamics. They will be responsible for delivering solution-focused support to individuals and groups, using their lived experience to inform their practice. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
">- Deliver Peer-Led Support
As a Family Support Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to engage with local mental health services, community-based organizations, and schools to identify potential clients and provide early support. You will also be responsible for promoting the organization's services and providing information to the community about mental health resources available.
">- Engage with Local Community
Preferred candidates will have experience working in a peer support role, preferably in a mental health setting. A qualification in Intentional Peer Support Core or Advanced Training would be an advantage, but not essential. A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is highly valued in this role.
