Job Description:

As an infectious diseases pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing a contemporary and evidence-based service.

You will play a pivotal role in the governance and daily operations of antimicrobial stewardship programs across the organisation, contributing to safe and effective antimicrobial use.

Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing clinical guidelines, driving quality improvement initiatives, and enhancing education for healthcare professionals and consumers.

You will undertake clinical pharmacy activities associated with the infectious diseases service, including acting as a pharmacy lead in the review and implementation of improvements to working practices and systems.

Additionally, you will support the Clinical Pharmacy team and participate in Quality & Safety processes.

  • Proven experience in practicing as a pharmacist, including both dispensing and clinical pharmacy practice, together with experience in an infectious disease setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team, together with proven problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in infectious diseases pharmacology and experience working in a similar setting.

Key qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree in pharmacy or related field.
  • Current registration with relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience in antimicrobial stewardship and clinical guideline development.
