We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Coal Quality Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining high standards for quality and productivity within our laboratory.

About the Role

This is a 12 month contract position based in Clinton, Gladstone. You will be responsible for working in both the Physical Testing and Analytical Laboratories, with occasional work at port sampling sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting coal samples
  • Laboratory day-to-day duties
  • Conducting sample preparation and analytical testing
  • Performing manual handling of buckets and drums
  • Entering and validating test data accurately
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Occasionally working at port sampling locations
What We Are Looking For
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Tafe certificate, diploma or degree would be highly regarded
  • 1-2 years experience in a laboratory environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and eager to learn
  • Manual Driver's Licence is required
  • Previous industry experience is a plus, but not essential
  • Ability to pass medical
