Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the timely completion of key financial processes.

This position requires strong financial acumen and attention to detail, with a solid understanding of internal accounting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have previous finance experience within a complex organisation and tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.

About You:
  • Proven track record of managing financial data and performing financial analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Audit-ready financial systems and processes
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and provide monthly financial reports, analysis and insights to key stakeholders
  2. Financial Compliance: Assist with investigating financial anomalies and preparing the Profit and Loss statement
  3. Asset Management: Monitor company assets including fleet management, IT asset updates/replacements/repairs and accommodation arrangements
  4. Board Reports: Compile and submit quarterly board reports
