Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time Library Information and Programs Officer to support daily library operations and lead the development and delivery of community-facing programs that serve diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain library resources and systems using Libero LMS software.
  • Assist with circulation, inter-library loans, reference, and branch exchanges.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service across a diverse community.
  • Develop and deliver programs for children, youth, and seniors.
  • Contribute to the planning, promotion, and evaluation of community programs.
  • Support grant applications, reporting, and financial administration.
  • Manage data collection and research for library reporting and funding.
  • Support Home Library Services and mobile library deliveries to remote areas.
  • Participate in acquisitions planning and service improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake general library duties including cataloguing, shelving, and administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience working in a library or closely related setting.
  • A Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid Working with Children Check.
  • A Class C Driver's Licence (essential for branch delivery and outreach work).

Additionally, experience with Libero Library Management System, program design and evaluation, leadership or team coordination, and grant funding knowledge are highly valued.
