Aboriginal Maternal Health Specialist

The Female Aboriginal Health Worker plays a vital role in delivering culturally sensitive care to improve birthing experiences and outcomes for Aboriginal women.
This position involves working closely with expectant mothers, ensuring their needs are met, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct assistance and support to expectant mothers
- Ensure culturally appropriate interactions with healthcare professionals and support staff
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver culturally sensitive care
- Female of Aboriginal descent
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care Practice or willingness to attain
- Knowledge of and affinity with the local Aboriginal community
