Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of OSHC Assistant Coordinator. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the provision of high-quality out-of-school hours care services for staff and children.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Role: Act as the Responsible Person for the service, overseeing daily operations and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Child Supervision: Manage children's attendance and bookings to maintain supervision and safety at all times.
  • Program Development: Support the design and implementation of engaging educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families and the school community through effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A qualification (or be working towards one) in Early Childhood Education and Care, providing a solid foundation in child development and education principles.
  • Prior experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC), demonstrating a deep understanding of the sector's unique challenges and requirements.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check, ensuring compliance with state regulations and safeguarding standards.
  • A child protection training certificate, enhancing knowledge and skills in recognizing and responding to child abuse and neglect.
  • A First Aid Certificate, enabling prompt response and intervention in emergency situations.
