Are you passionate about childcare? We are seeking an experienced and caring Assistant Coordinator to join our team at a dedicated space.

The Role

As an Assistant Coordinator, your passion for childcare will shine through in your compassionate approach to interacting with children. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the responsible person for the service, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
  • Providing a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Managing attendance records and casual booking schedules to ensure child safety and proper supervision.
  • Overseeing and supporting other educators to ensure they understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of educational programs, along with maintaining observations and reflection journals.
  • Creating opportunities to share children's experiences with families and celebrate their engagement in programs.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with families and the wider community.

This is a permanent, part-time position offering 33 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A qualification in Child Education and Care (or be working towards one).
  • Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in a similar role.
  • A certificate in Identifying and Reporting Children at Risk.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • A valid Working with Children Check.
