About the Role:
  • Promote effective governance of Churches of Christ in Queensland;
  • Participate in formulating strategic directions and approving strategic plans;
  • Recruit and manage the performance of the CEO;
  • Review, approve and monitor the business plan and annual budget;
  • Contribute to the development of Board and organizational policies;
  • Support stakeholder engagement and networking on behalf of Churches of Christ QLD;
  • Identify skills required by the Board and potential candidates for Board positions;
Responsibilities:
  • Attend approximately 11 Board meetings, and other special meetings as may be called, and serve on at least one Board committee per year;
  • Prepare ahead of Board and Committee meetings including reading papers to allow informed and active contribution at meetings;
  • Participate in relevant learning and development;
  • Travel anticipated, including monthly conference calls and 2 residential visits annually;
