About Us
At the heart of our organisation is a deep commitment to cultural safety and reconciliation. We are seeking an experienced Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander professional to lead our cultural awareness training initiatives, driving meaningful change across our workforce.
This role will see you deliver high-quality, engaging training experiences that empower colleagues to develop a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories and contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored training programs for diverse audiences, embedding culturally safe practices and protocols throughout.
- Provide expert guidance on cultural oversight and development, ensuring consistency and impact across all learning initiatives.
- Promote organisational awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, fostering empathy and respect.
- Support the growth of a culturally competent workforce through coaching, mentoring and capacity building.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align training strategies with organisational goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and culture, with lived experience and understanding of contemporary issues.
- Expertise in training delivery, adult education and community development, with a focus on Indigenous perspectives.
- Proven ability to design and deliver impactful training programs, leveraging technology and innovative approaches.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with a passion for empowering colleagues and advancing social justice.
- Qualifications in Education, Social Work, Community Development or related field, with a strong commitment to lifelong learning.
