Associate Producer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Producer to join our news team.

  • This is an integral role in the newsroom leadership team, responsible for producing high-quality video stories, explainers, and bulletin content.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for line up and output the flagship 7pm NSW news bulletin, write and produce video stories and explainers using creative storytelling techniques, work with journalists as a story producer to develop and sub edit content for all platforms, and support the Supervising Producer and newsroom leadership team to produce stories for State and Network News that provide context, depth and understanding for audiences.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a TV/video producer in a busy newsroom environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of television news production, including bulletin line-up and on-air production needs.
  • High level of skill with relevant software production systems and reporting tools.
  • Sophisticated teamwork, communication, interpersonal and time management skills to operate effectively in a busy newsroom environment.
