Storytelling Animator

We are seeking a skilled storyteller to assist in the production of an animated video series for our social media channels. This role is ideal for those with strong graphic design and animation skills, as well as experience in working with diverse teams.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our communications team to develop engaging storylines, characters and animations. They will also support the lead animator in creating high-quality visual content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compelling story concepts and ideas for five short animated videos (3-4 minutes in length).
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create engaging visuals and ensure brand consistency.
  • Support the lead animator in planning and executing animation shoots, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Maintain regular progress updates with the communications team to ensure smooth project progression.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Strong storytelling and graphic design skills, with experience in animation and video production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, with a portfolio showcasing your creative vision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience working with diverse groups and cultures.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ASC's Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policies.
Additional Information

This role is subject to a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement. The successful candidate will also be required to undergo screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people.
