Job Overview

Seeking an experienced senior ecologist to lead project delivery, provide expert ecological advice and oversee quality assurance of technical outputs.

The successful candidate will hold a strategic position within our NSW ecology team based in Sydney, Australia.

They will be responsible for managing and delivering complex ecological projects, including field surveys, analysis, reporting and legislative advice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Lead project teams with strategic clarity, mentoring and coaching team members as needed.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, develop proposals and identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and legal guidance to ensure excellence across team outputs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in ecological consulting or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in ecology, environmental science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and NSW policy framework.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A current and valid driver's licence.
