Job Opportunity

We are seeking a perinatal psychologist or accredited mental health social worker to deliver face-to-face psychological support to women and their partners experiencing perinatal depressive, anxiety and trauma or stressor-related disorders.

About the Role
  • Deliver individual, couple and parent-infant therapies to women and their partners.
  • Provide pre-conception counselling and services for those experiencing pregnancy or childbirth-related loss.
  • Work with expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience working with perinatal clients or in a complementary field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a recovery-oriented model, utilising a person/family centred approach.
Our Requirements
  • To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of perinatal mental health issues and be able to provide effective support to women and their families.
  • You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with local healthcare systems and services would be an advantage.
