**About the role**

The Health Clinician - Drug & Alcohol, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, is responsible for providing assessment, case management, referral and follow up for clients seeking assistance with substance use problems. Providing outreach service to clients in the towns of Grenfell and Canowindra on a regular basis.

This position is operationally responsible to the Team Leader of the Community Mental Health Drug & Alcohol (MHDA) team in Cowra as well as linking in with supports from the Drug & Alcohol staff across the Bathurst & Region Hub.

You will be working in a small, dynamic team to provide psychosocial counselling and support to clients with substance use issues, working closely with clinicians from Mental Health Drug and Alcohol as well as several NGO’s. Orientation to the Service will be comprehensive and adapted to the individual needs of the successful applicant and be complimented by supports from Regional Senior Clinicians across all streams.

Location for this position is Negotiable between Cowra and Bathurst.
