State Approval and Integration Specialist

This is a critical role within the Approvals function of our organization's Western Australian Iron operations.
The successful candidate will work across multiple mining and infrastructure projects in Western Australia, delivering State Agreement approvals and coordinating overall approvals advice from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic advice to project teams on approvals pathways, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead collaboration between project teams and SMEs to coordinate early identification of regulatory approvals requirements and deliver internal permitting processes.
- Develop and maintain approvals schedules with Planners and SMEs, coordinating monthly schedule updates and approvals reporting.
- Proactively identify approval-related risks in consultation with SMEs, mitigating delays through practical problem-solving.
- Provide technical advice on State Agreement approvals requirements.
- Obtain State Agreement approvals and ensure compliance requirements are identified to enable strategic business planning.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with State Agreement and Approvals Advice tasks.
To succeed in this role, you must be highly collaborative, strategically minded, and possess high-level influencing skills. You will also require strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and adaptability in a dynamic working environment.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Urban Planning, with 10+ years of experience in a similar field.
