State Agreement and Approvals Integration Specialist

The State Agreement and Approvals Integration role is a critical position within the Approvals function of BHPs Western Australian Iron operations.
You will be responsible for delivering State Agreement approvals and managing the coordination of overall approvals advice from multiple Approvals Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Key responsibilities include providing strategic guidance to project teams, leading collaboration between project teams and SMEs, and developing and maintaining approvals schedules.
This role requires a dynamic, experienced professional with a proven understanding and experience of WA regulatory approvals.
Reporting to the Superintendent State Agreement and Approvals Integration, you will manage large, strategic, or complex projects while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing business conditions.
Responsibilities:- Provide strategic guidance to project teams regarding approvals pathways, risks, and opportunities
- Lead collaboration between project teams and approvals SMEs to coordinate early identification of regulatory approvals requirements
- Develop and maintain approvals schedules in collaboration with planners and SMEs
- Proactively identify approval-related risks and mitigate delays through practical problem-solving
- Provide technical advice on state agreement approvals requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation associated with state agreement and approvals advice tasks
To be successful in this role, you will possess high-level influencing skills, attention to detail, and excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
You will have a demonstrated track record of knowledge and experience in WA state regulatory approvals, ArcGIS, MS Office suite, data systems, and working with schedules.
