Operations Manager - NDIS Allied Health

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Manager to join our leadership team at Whizdom Recruitment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth running of our administrative and financial processes, while supporting operational efficiencies and organisational growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, preferably within the healthcare or NDIS sector, with a focus on team leadership, financial oversight, and day-to-day operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the administrative and finance teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee day-to-day business operations, including workflow coordination, resource allocation, and process optimisation.
  • Support the finance team with NDIS invoicing, claims management (via Splose and NDIA/PACE), and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with NDIS standards, business regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies that align with company growth objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of administrative processes and systems to improve client experience and team productivity.
  • Coordinate staff training, development, and performance management within the administrative and finance departments.
  • Facilitate internal communication across teams, ensuring alignment of goals and priorities.
  • Provide support to the Director in decision-making and strategic planning.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally within the healthcare, disability, or NDIS sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing administrative and finance teams.
  • Excellent understanding of financial management processes, particularly invoicing, claims, and compliance within the NDIS framework.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to changing needs.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and practice management software (experience with Splose is an advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
