At Crownover Company Inc., we are seeking a strategic financial leader to drive our company's financial operations and shape sustainable growth.

Job Description:

Crownover is looking for a Construction Finance Controller who will work closely with the Integrator and Senior Management Team to ensure financial transparency, optimize profitability in a dynamic residential construction and remodeling business, and lead the company's financial strategy. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with our goals, providing forecasts and projections, assessing financial risks and opportunities, and establishing KPIs to track financial performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with our company goals.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial forecasting and budgeting.
    • Assess financial risks and opportunities, and offer recommendations to improve our financial performance.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure our financial success and efficiency.
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
    • Oversee accurate and timely invoicing and payments.
    • Manage collections and vendor relationships.
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure our financial stability.
  • Accounting and Reporting
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making.
    • Evaluate our compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  • Taxes
    • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
  • Asset Acquisitions
    • Evaluate potential acquisitions and perform ROI analysis.
    • Lead due diligence, manage financing options, and oversee integration of acquired assets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance or supervisory role.
  • Experience in the construction or service-based industries strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Buildertrend a plus.
  • Expertise in construction financial processes (job costing, invoicing, cash flow).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold team members accountable while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.

Work Schedule:
