The Finance Manager supports our Chief Executive Officer, is an active member of our leadership team, and directs, controls and administers the financial activities of the group.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and develop our Finance team, currently an experienced Part Time (0.6) Financial Accountant;
• Direct and oversee all aspects of the financial functions for the group; and
• Advise our leadership team and business leaders on the financial aspects of current activities and on any proposed plans or projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and board reporting;
• Manage AP, AR, Payroll and related systems (Xero & Jobpac); Manage cashflow including borrowings and treasury;
• Work with our development team on project feasibilities and site selection, developing feasibility studies with detailed financial modelling and analysis;
• Actively engage with our external partners such as corporate and legal advisors, auditors, project investors, insurance brokers and banks; and
• Preparation of statutory accounts and returns, liaising with our auditors.

The ideal candidate:

You will be CA or CPA qualified and have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with a construction or development background. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling and analysis are essential.

We need someone who is mature, can be hands-on with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, strong commercial awareness and demonstrated complex project accounting experience. Our team loves their jobs and coming to work, we operate at a fast pace and set very high standards, but we work in a positive and collaborative environment.

We offer a generous remuneration package. The opportunity to work as part of the senior leadership team of a dynamic and growing organisation. We work from our spacious new offices in Richmond, but offer flexibility when needed. Infrequent site and other travel may be necessary.
