About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Print on Demand (POD) Fulfillment Center in Moorebank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Put health and safety best practices first in all work carried out.
  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
A Day in the Life

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues. You will carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to ensure our equipment is working safely. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You will work alongside senior colleagues, undertaking day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We are a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

Requirements
  • Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Certificate III in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner)
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings
  • Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
  • Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of computer maintenance systems (CMMS)
  • Experience of sortation machines
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience of maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
  • Experience of print and apply machines
