Workplace Safety Professional

We are seeking a part-time Workplace Safety Professional to support our clients' busy manufacturing site, working 2–3 days per week. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with workers on the floor while also ensuring compliance with WHS standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough workplace inspections and hazard identification
  • Lead risk assessments and recommend practical control measures to mitigate potential risks
  • Investigate incidents, prepare comprehensive reports and follow through on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Deliver interactive safety training sessions, inductions, and toolbox talks to enhance employee engagement and awareness
  • Monitor and review safe work procedures and permits to work, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date WHS records, registers, and compliance documentation
  • Support the implementation of proactive safety initiatives and improvement projects to drive a positive safety culture
  • Coach and engage supervisors and employees to strengthen their understanding of WHS principles and promote a culture of safety
About You:
  • Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or currently studying towards this qualification)
  • Some experience in safety, ideally within a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Understanding of WHS legislation and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Comfortable interacting with people on the floor and building relationships to foster a collaborative working environment
  • Keen to learn, organised, and proactive in identifying and mitigating potential risks
