We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Youth Support Coordinator. This is a part-time position at 0.60 FTE, with flexibility available around the days worked for the right candidate.
About the Role:This position plays a vital role in supporting students in Years 10 to 12 who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from education.
- This involves working directly with students to build strong connections, boost their engagement, and develop strategies to help them stay in school and thrive.
- The Youth Support Coordinator will also link students with internal and external services they need to succeed.
Springwood State High School offers a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for students in Years 7-12. Our school combines academic excellence with a strong culture of care, empowering every student to reach their full potential as a Springwood Learner.
Responsibilities:As the Youth Support Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the school's Guidance Officer to provide individual support, case management, and group-based interventions to enhance student engagement and participation in learning.
- Refering at-risk students to appropriate agencies and support services that will assist students to overcome barriers to education and training.
